The Rancher Behind the Beef

I’m Kyle Ellison. Ellison Land & Cattle sells ranch-direct beef and pork out of Bushland, Texas, and I handle it myself: I raise the cattle, I work with Keeters Meat Company in Tulia, and I talk with every customer directly. When you call 806-683-3110, you get me. Ellison Land & Cattle is a division of Heritage Range Partners, the family of businesses I run.

The Land

Our pasture near Stratford, in northern Sherman County and southern Cimarron County, has been in the Ellison family since 1984. Four generations of our family have worked that land, and three of them have owned it. The cattle run on native and CRP grass. Four Dates I Don’t Forget

A ranch teaches you that hard things arrive on their own schedule. These are mine.

• November 27, 1995I lost my mother. I was 18.
• December 16, 2020I lost my father.
• November 9, 2023I had a cardiac event.
• November 8, 2024A fire destroyed the barn where my daughters kept their show pigs. We rebuilt it.

I don’t share these to ask for sympathy. They shaped what I care about: raising something honest, being straight with people, and passing down land and a good name instead of debt.

How I Run Ellison Land & Cattle
